ATAC joined federal, provincial, civic, education and industry dignitaries and to congratulate Porter Airlines on the grand opening of their state of the art maintenance facility at YOW on May 21st.
Porter Aviation Holdings Inc. and the Ottawa International Airport Authority are celebrating the grand opening of Porter’s new aircraft hangars and maintenance base at YOW. The facilities, covering 150,000 sq. ft., will support the maintenance of Porter’s growing fleet, including up to 100 Embraer E195-E2s and 29 De Havilland Dash 8-400s. This $125 million investment will create 200 local jobs and foster a strategic partnership with Algonquin College to enhance aviation training and education.
